LUPA Impact Services

About

Lupa is an impact agency based in Cataluña in Spain, with extensive experience in Europe and Latin America.

Lupa is led by Kristie Robinson, a British impact strategist and producer who has been working in the field for over a decade.

With extensive experience in journalism, the non-profit sector, and the world of documentary, Kristie has spent two decades working at the intersection of storytelling and impact. She began her impact journey with DocSociety, working as an Outreach Director and consultant on Good Pitch events across the Western Hemisphere between 2013 and 2019, where she worked with mostly Latin American film teams on impact strategy, partnerships, and campaign building.

Kristie relocated to Spain in 2018, and since then her work has bridged Europe and Latin America. She undertook the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Sustainable Leadership’s ‘Communicating for Impact and Influence’ course in 2023 and completed the Resource Alliance’s leadership programme in 2024, returning to lead their Climate Action Lab in 2025. Kristie has given numerous workshops and masterclasses on impact production, and been on selection committees and juries for impact projects for film festivals and impact programmes.

Kristie is a member of the Global Impact Producers Alliance (GIPA), and the European Women’s Audiovisual Network.

Why Lupa?

The name Lupa is inspired by the Spanish word for ‘magnifying glass’, under the slogan ‘if you can’t see it, it won’t change’. It is born out of the idea that our impact work leverages the visibility given to certain issue areas through film, and can take the issue off the screen and create real change on the ground.

Lupa’s team has a long history of partnering with Latin American film projects, working on impact strategy, issue mapping, and outreach.

Projects

Projects include award-winning documentaries by Oscar-nominated directors, including working on impact strategy and outreach for 9.70, The Quipu Project, Los Niños, Alma del Desierto, Mujeres con Pelotas, Nueva Venecia, The Age of Water, Lejos del Sentido; consulting on La Mujer de los 7 Nombres, Conviction, The Edge of Democracy, and Hija del Volcán, as well as two shorts related to Rivers (an academic research film project).

Kristie has given numerous workshops, panels and labs on impact production, including at Festival L’Atlernativa in Barcelona, DocsConnect in Sitges, and mentoring projects at Doxumentale in Berlin. She has also taught impact masterclasses at UBA and FUC in Buenos Aires and UPF in Barcelona. Kristie has also been on selection committees and juries for impact projects for film festivals and impact programmes, most recently Nodo Sur in Colombia.

Lupa is currently working on the impact campaign for Justicia en el País de la Niebla.
